I spoke too soon about a lazy day. Have just dashed out in the rain to grab the washing which needs putting back in the washing machine. The cheese and tomato omelette was nice with a cup of coffee.

Older dd has just phoned and I am cooking for four or five of us tomorrow. Just as well I took beef brisket out of the freezer last night. Once the rain stops I will pop to the shop for more veg. Will do a quick tidy and hoover in the morning and pop laundry on airers overnight.

    Hugs to all.

Just enjoying a bit of peace and quiet but will be working later. Not peace with a cup of tea, the milk went off overnight, and although there is some full cream milk (OH likes that) I can't drink tea with that stuff in it, I have skimmed milk. So am having hot ribena, which is really meant for persons with the sniffles.
I don't think I could cope with full cream milk, either. Mr LW has semi-skimmed in his tea; I don't have milk at all, I prefer a slice of lemon (we buy lemons when they're £1 a bowl on the market, and slice and freeze them).

Saw the GP yesterday; she's added yet another med into the mix - Gabapentin, for what she described as nerve pain - she explained all the different type of pain receptors, but I'm afraid I didn't really take it all in.

Anyways, S/drug didn't have it in stock, but will get it for me - I'll pick it up Tuesday when I go into town for my appointment with the audiologist. Should be fun (not) - it's a liquid, as they only do tablets at what the GP called "stonking high strength" - the lower strength is only available as liquid or capsules. I can't take capsules because of the gelatine content (my stomach rejects it in a rather spectacular manner) so liquid it is.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • The DGC have been collected, the dog went home yesterday and my L&M is out with friends.
I shall have a quick tidy round and then a Nana nap.
All systems go on Monday, collecting DGS and taking him to school, then when I leave work I am driving to DD1's as she is looking after DD2's youngest as DD2 has been offered 2 weeks work in a day job, she has to do her night job too . I'm collecting DD2's youngest, then back to work to collect DGS then taking them both home.
Fingers crossed she is offered full time at the day job.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.
