Faulty Macerator pump

I asked you why you had it attached to a washing machine when macerators are usually used to pump toilet waste away.
I also said I wasn't surprised to see no advice about maintenance in such circumstances.
It'll still be a blockage which caused the motor to burn out and I sincerely doubt that such a blockage will be covered by any warranty.
I suspect foreign objects (usually coins, though there are other likely culprits) will have been flushed out from the washing machine and blocked the mechanism.0 -

How can you know for sure that a blockage caused the problem?
Pumps and similar devices that are not open to good external airflow generally rely on the liquid that they are moving to provide any cooling that is needed and if there was a seized bearing or broken impeller, there would be no liquid flow hence no cooling or reduced cooling and a possible burnt out motor.
Other causes could be an internal leak, loose connections on the wiring or a faulty brush.0 -

I said I suspect a blockage, not that I was "sure" at all.0 -

Not "I suspect a blockage" but a clear "It'll still be a blockage". There's no other way to interpret that comment.0 -

How was the motor burnt out? Were you given a refund ? Exchange for a better model?0 -

Apologies.....the saniflo is a new one that is going to be fitted. This has been arranged by our plumber.
The company we purchased the Easywaste from, will not answer any emails or messages now.
We will send it back and they did initially say that no refund is given but a repair or replacement.
As for exactly why or how it burnt out, I do not knowLoved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0
