PCN in London Underground Station - Appealed, no response, now ZZPS letter

Hi all,
Hopefully someone can help me.
In April this year I received a PCN from NCP for exceeding the free wait time in a London Underground car park.
For the last 20 odd years I have used this car park to pick people up from the station, as it is the only station in the surrounding area with a large car park. At somepoint this year they introduced ANPR, which I didn't know. Obviously this is not a good excuse but i thought I would try my luck with the appeals process.
I was in the car park for 25 minutes, sat at the bottom and did not leave the car. I appealed this ticket on the grounds that I had done this for many years previously and offered to pay the amount for a full day ticket.
I did not hear anything further about this issue until this week. Yesterday I got a letter from ZZPS stating that as I have not paid up the issue has been referred to them and the balance is now £160.
I called NCP this morning to tell them I never received a notice from them stating my appeal has been rejected. They say there is now nothing they can do as the fine has been passed ZZPS.
Is there anything I can do or am I forced to cough up the £160? My main concerns are that the amount increases further or I get taken to court and get a CCJ against my name.
Thanks in advance,
PB

Which parking company did you appeal to?0

Apologies I should have stated that this is from NCP. - original post edited.0

NCP should have sent you a POPLA code; if you didn't get a reply/no code you should complain to the BPA.Apologies I should have stated that this is from NCP. - original post edited.
Most NCP's underground car parks are subject to Byelaws which means (a) only the driver can be liable and (b) they only have 6 months to take you to court.0 -
They did send me a POPLA code however when i try and enter that into POPLA's website I get an error saying that the code is not recognised.
Should I email NCP and/or ZZPS?
What would you advise I do in the short term?
Feel a bit uncomfortable with this hanging over me.0 -

ZZPS are just simpleton debt collectors and when they growl, their teeth fall out.
As quickly as the PPC passed it to them, if any action is to be taken, they have to pass it back to the PPC.
As far as a CCJ ? If this does go to court, it may not, and you lose, the court will give you up to 28 days to pay. It's only if you don't follow what the court instructs and NOT pay then, and only then are you subject to a CCJ
ZZPS really do talk out of the "sun don't shine" thingy ??
Just sit back and enjoy the fact of the sheer waste of time and paper ZZPS does, don't contact them again.
If you get real court papers issued by or on behalf of the PPC, do please come back here for help0 -

Is it likely I could be taken to court by NCP? Especially as it is essentially my fault, my main issue is that I didn't receive a rejection of appeals notice. I would have paid the £60 if I'd have got that.
I was told on another forum pepipoo that I cannot be taken to court after 6 months from the date of the parking event. Is this true?
In addition, for the moment I should do nothing?0 -
When did you get a POPLA code and what with? They normally only come with appeal rejections, and time out after (I think) 28 days.
Apologies sorry I think I've got confused. I've been entering the PCN number into the POPLA website. Didn't realize it was a different reference number.
In that case I've not got one.
Should I rerequest this from NCP?0 -
POPLA code is a completely separate 10 digit code. I'd complain to the BPA that NCP ignored your appeal and it's now at debt collection stage without a POPLA code being issued.0

Ok thank you. I have emailed BPA with my situation stating I haven't had a POPLA code.
What is the likelihood that something like this could be taken to court?0
