Morning fellow MFWs - isn't the weather picking up nicely? Long may it continue.
I have to go pick up formula this morning - I reckon about 6 more tubs before we can move to cows milk which will help with the shopping budget. Also going to vote on my way home as the polling station is just across from Mr T.
Not much news - Munchkin has won the weekly merit award at school next week :T and Button still is a bit snuffly. She will have plenty of fuss today thou as it is a "Granny Day" for Munchkin and so she has me all to herself.Have good days all!

It's such a good feeling when formula milk is no longer a part of the weekly shop! I used to buy the pre-made Aptimil too - lazy mare I was!
I hope Button's cold eases quickly xMFW

Oh nearly forgot I reconciled last months bill and joint account and there was a spare £32.33 that I shuffled into the e-savings for Oping - all helps!0

You are right there ATB I will be happy when I don't have to stand making up bottles anymore - the ready made stuff is definitely a time saver, we used it in the early weeks and when we went away last month.
I transferred May's Op of £340 yesterday evening and have updated my signature to show the new balance from the standard payment having been applied so heading towards getting out of the £140s.
This weeks aim is to have 3 NSDs as I find I am popping into the shop pretty much everyday just for something to do and to get back to the gym atleast twice. I suffer with costochondritis (have fun trying to pronounce it if you've never heard of it :rotfl:) which is basically inflammation in the joints in my chest. Having to lift Button all the time means it's taken a bit longer to heal than usual but I want to go and do some light exercise as I haven't been at the gym for a couple of weeks and it is starting to show.
Did a load of filing this evening as it had been building up and sent a few emails i'd been putting off just trying to get organised. We also got the car washed and grass cut today so all in all pretty productive.
Now off to finish off the ice cream before tomorrow0 -
Happy Monday all!
Today has not been a NSD as when I got Button up this morning I noticed she had a few red spots and then a few more appeared after her morning nap so took her to the pharmacist who agreed with me that it looks like the start of chickenpox. So picked up some calamine lotion and we always have calpol in the house so we are all set for any outbreak. Popped into Mr T on the way home and picked up some food bits and bobs for the week as that way tomorrow can be a NSD.
Hoping to get some more quilting done today on Button's quilt and Mr Moomin has promised to go over some work things with me later so that I have a bit of a clue what I am meant to be doing when I return next month - I swear my brain has gone to mush on maternity leave, hopefully it will all come back quickly! And as I'm feeling ambitious the plan is to fit in a run when Mr Moomin is home tonight - wish me luck!
Hoping everyone has a good week x0 -
Well no run happened last night - was knackered by the time I got both kids to bed. Really not sure where my motivation has gone, was alright up to a few months ago and it seems to have just disappeared.
Anyway today will be a NSD so 1/3 achieved :T. Also just done a survey on YouGov so up to £13.25 there. Bank has also received my May OP so just waiting for balance to update.
Button has quite a few more spots today and is very grumpy as she can't seem to settle herself. I managed to get her to go off on me earlier and have plonked her in her cot so fingers crossed she stays there for an hour or so and gets some sleep. Munchkin on the other hand is fascinated with counting her spots- he had it last year so at least I will not have them both poorly together.
Have a great day all0 -
All three of mine had it in succession, first the 4 yr old, then his twin brothers 7 months, one at a time.
IT got worse with each child (due to similar genetics maybe) and by the time the last twin got it he had spots EVERY where, even his eyes, mouth etc. Was more poorly 2.
Something for you to look forward to, 2/3 of them had shingles later on. They are in their 20's now.
AS a side note, congrats on getting your mtg term down (the main reason we overpaid so the OH could retire before SP age).
But what are you doing for a pension? We always did both/all 3. Pension, OP, investments.0 -
Gosh atush that sounds like a nightmare - luckily she still only has about 20 spots overall and when my eldest had it it wasn't a huge outbreak so hoping she is the same!
We both have a workplace pension that we started last summer but tbh that is as far as we have planned - I have mentally filed "look into pension" away until I hit 30 which I know isn't exactly sensible but with everything we have going I just haven't made the time - plus trying to convince myself I am too young to worry about it yet :rotfl:0 -
wow.. this is fantastic. you guys kick a$$!:T:T:T0

Thanks ALPedro - the diary really helps keep me motivated and the MFW 2017 thread run by Hiddenshadow is also hugely inspiring.
Button has even more spots today but seems happy enough in herself, just a little clingy which is understandable. Took her out for a walk this morning for some fresh air and she was babbling away to herself in the pram.
Today will be another NSD so 2/3 which according to Meatloaf "ain't bad". Have managed to quilt the whole top of Button's quilt so now to attach the boarder and label it up which means I may indeed be able to give it to her for her birthday. Problem is Munchkin is now looking one which probably will take me another year :rotfl:.
Hope everyone is having a good week x0
