I just thought i'd drop a few photos in for everyone, these were taken this morning of my two new kittens that I got last Thursday (25th). I'd been the only person they'd seen since coming home, so they were shy at first & we didn't get any photos of them play fighting, but maybe next time!
They then went on their first Vet trip, they *are* one boy & a girl, the boy weighs 960 grams & the girl is 890 grams, is that a normal weight for 10.5 week old kittens? (11 weeks on Sunday)
They are 3/4 Moggy & 1/4 Siamese, and don't I know it after Loki yelled the whole way there, and back, and while waiting, and when coming out, and when going in, and when his sister went out, and when she came back in etc etc
Both fast asleep now!

Beautiful, and you can see their Siamese traits in their little pointy faces and big ears. I've just noticed the kitty in the last pic has his/her little pink tongue poking out ! I love kittens and cats, such intelligent animals with quirky personalities.0

They are lovely.
Bet their a handful though lol.

lol they are definitely a handful! I haven't had kittens in over ten years as I lost my 18 year old a month ago, but omg
Everywhere I walk/move they are. If I dare to go to the loo, they are there trying to come in also! The other day I had a chest of drawers drawer open, and they leaped from the bed into it & disappeared down the back.
The girl came out of the bottom, as I removed one drawer so they can have a bed in there as a den, but the boy was still behind it . . cue me calling him, waving hand around at the back etc as I didn't want to go out & have him get stuck
Look under the bed, and they are both watching me like 'it's great this innit, she's still looking for us!'
They are very cute tho but the boy can rag the girl about too much and needs a time out sometimes lol0 -

They are lovely!
I have 4 cats of my own but I also foster kittens for a local rescue which helps me get my fix so I'm not tempted to take on any more residents permanently So much fun! And your cat tree is great too
In terms of weight, normal moggies tend to put on around 100g a week at that age, so at 10 weeks you'd expect them to be around 1kg, and 1.2kg at 12 weeks etc. There is variety of course as with quite slight builds, they are likely to be less, but if they aren't putting on a decent amount each week, it is worth speaking to your vet about.
I'm sure you're probably well aware, but females can come into season as early as 16 weeks so if your vet is agreeble to early neutering, they can both be done once they weigh over 1kg each. My youngest cat (now just turned 2) was 11 weeks when spayed and she bounced back so quickly (within a few hours) when compared to my older ones who were done at 6 months and took days to recover. I'd always recommend it

They are off to the Vets on the 15th so I will ask her then . . their website says 5 months but the receptionist says 6, but I am wanting at least the male done asap & if they will do both at the same time, even better! I'm not too worried about the female being left until 5/6 months as it's very unlikely she'd get out (nobody else but me to let her out, no windows open & just one door, with another to get through before it) and I had a dog aggressive dog for 7 years that never got out (when other dogs were out there & she wanted to) but you never know! They are determined already . . she will go on her radiator barrel bed thing & jump onto the pc desk, if I put her down she will do it over & over & over!
I'm hoping they will do both @ 4 months, assuming she gets heavy enough, but then if they can neuter a rat surely they can a kitten! My theory is, the male has visible balls now, so surely they can find them NOW to remove them NOW? lol
I will get more photos asap, my Dad put loads on a disk but idk if there are any others or if most were the back of them running off! They have learnt that food is prepared in the kitchen & now, when I go to it, they come running!
Loki has some antibiotic eye drops to have . . 1 drop 3x a day which is interesting! Luckily just in his left eye, because if both he'd realise what i'm doing & scarper! They are quite a difference from an 18 year old it seems :rotfl:0 -
