    Then I suggest you start a campaign to get the The Immigration Act 2014 repealled.

    Yes. However, s20 (Residential Tenancy Agreement) and related sections came into force in England only on 1 Feb 2016.

    It is presumably only a matter of time, but I cannot find any mention of it coming into force yet in the rest of UK.

    Don't be surprised if they sub-let the property (even if the tenancy agreement forbids it).
