• Happy Birthday DP1:bdaycake: Hope you get lots of nice things happen today It sounds like your Dds appreciate their Mum :):) as do most DDs
dumpling you are doing well honey baby steps and you'll get there :A:grouphug:

Youngest DGS Mikey has just gone to his pals for a couple of hours ,he will be back for lunch no doubt when his tummy rumbles. DGS Jack is at his volunteering job at the Marie Curie shop this morning ,he too will be in for lunch.Bless him he starts at 6th form next week and says he will still go into the shop to do a three hour shift ,but will change it to Saturday afternoons to help out as he will be at school during the week. The ladies all love him to bits there as he is such a cheery lad, and I think they spoil him a little.

So that just leaves me with 'our 'enry' who has just made me a nice cuppa bless him. Will hang DDs washing out shortly when the machine stops, have loaded the dishwasher so not a lot to do this morning. Although its warm there is jsut a very slight breeze which is lovely at the moment and it will soon get her washing dry

Was just about to load the washing machine when a friend dropped by to pick something up. I left the basket in the hall, we were in the kitchen, Scampi had rooted through the washing and came wandering in with my bra in his mouth. I thought it was hilarious, male friend didn't know where to look :D
That totally trumps Jack pinching our gardening shoes and goofing off round the garden with them in his mouth. :rotfl:

Happy Birthday and have a good day (tomorrow too). :bdaycake::bdaycake:

I have washing on the line outside and am just about to tidy the kitchen. DD is not coming over tonight so will portion and freeze the courgette lasagne I made yesterday.

I tried out the electric omelette maker I got for my birthday and it works really well so had a bacon and tomato omelette for brunch.
The huge skip is still outside and was supposed to have been collected days ago.

I hope the scan results are good and that you both get a chance to relax.

Nipping out to local supermarket for diet drinks and fruit etc.

Hugs to all

Happ Birthday dp1 :bdaycake: sounds like you are having a smashing day X
Yay on the weight loss Rosyred :j

LW and Tru, when Tilly was a pup her favourite trick was getting my socks out of the washing basket and running around with them in her mouth, times I found a stray one under the sofa, in her basket etc x

Home now from work and all done for the week, might try and have a cheeky little nap before going to see Bill :)
• Belated birthday wishes dp1 and have a good day out tomorrow.

Just awaiting the arrival of the DGDs. I really could have done with a quick nap first but it took so long getting back from Leeds and the mince was awaiting my attention when we got back. At least Mr TA is snoring away on the sofa! xx

Afternoon chums!

Happy belated birthday to dp1 - hope your celebrations are great.

It's been wet and wild and cold here all day, so sad to see our summer disappear already, although I do enjoy autumn too.

After the 'training' session this morning I did mundane things like fill up the diesel and buy some wine to take to the BBQ later. The afternoon was filled with boring admin tasks, letters to people, claim forms and a stupid stupid excursion into 'thinking like a moron' land  - the postie brought me a letter telling me that my fixed rate ISA matures in early October so I gaily did some searching online and opened a new ISA, which is not allowed! So it's taken me some time to get that cancelled - a phone to the BS which got me the address to write too and then I found that my scanner didn't work because of the W10 upgrade. Cue a call to a very helpful chappy from Canon (in Holland I think) and then a long email with instructions to uninstall, restart and reinstall stuff. Bloomin' useless I am! Just trying to be organised and it caused me so much more time and effort.

Now I'll have to wrap up warmly for the BBQ. Can't even have a drink when there as the drink levels in Scotland are much lower than in the rest of UK so it's not even one glass of wine.
• Evening all!!
Last night my friend ended up popping in for a slice of cake my eldest made ( we saw her when shopping and my dd invited her)....and ended up staying for a natter, and wine and leaving at 1am!
I already had the wine in so a 'free' night and so lovely to have a chat, laugh and catch up especially unexpected!
Today was a lovely lazy day with the kids, this morning we watched the whole of the series the 1940's house( I'd seen it before but kids hadn't) and that and the resulting discussions was a lovely morning!
Used my soup maker and knocked us up a veggie soup for lunch with bits hanging about and served with bread that needed using. Whilst we were eating lunch we caught up on the GBBO.
Tea we all had different things in the interest of using up!
After washing up I'm looking forward to a lazy evening of looking up rationing etc and recipies now my interest is aroused😂 And some tv followed by an early night!
Hope everyone has had a good day and has a lovely eve....not read the thread yet so hugs where needed or wanted xx
