Does anyone know of any website/ map where you can see which cities/airports within the UK you can fly to, from other airports within the UK !!!
I have been looking at flying to Edinburgh from Leeds Bradford - not possible, unless I go via Paris, Belfast or elsewhere!
I have just started looking at flying to Exeter also from Leeds Bradford and again, only if I go via another country !!!
Train or coach is looking like the only solution but it will probably be easier to drive!
Why is it so hard to fly between the cities of this country?!!!!

Presumably because we're a small country and train is almost always quicker since you don't have to turn up 90 minutes early to get through security. It's 3 hours by train from Manchester to Edinburgh and an hour by plane. But unless you wanted to end up at Edinburgh airport, i'd say the train is almost certainly quicker.
I go Edinburgh- London a lot and it stopped being quicker to fly a few years ago when security tightened up0 -
www.skyscanner.com is your friend - key in departure airport, date and direct flight and it'll come up with all the places you can fly to
From LBA you're pretty restricted0 -
A google search will bring up a full list of destinations for airports as the first hit.
LBA is London Heathrow, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton.
Gatwick, Edinburgh, Bristol, Exeter, have all had services over the years, but without demand you won't get a service. Internal flights to major centres don't save much time in the UK, they are OK for linking to a hub, but trains are just as quick.
Manchester has far more choice with places such as Norwich and Inverness served. Flying is probably quicker than train or driving to those destinations.0 -
I always find it best to look at the destination airport and then looking at best way to get there:

LBA also goes to BelfastPaid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0 -
About two weeks ago a new route started between LBA and Newquay.0

Leeds to Edinburgh is quick and easy by train, although sadly East Coast is no more.
At one time Flybe had a service between Leeds and Exeter. In its absence, the train journey is rather long and painful.0 -

I fly from Newquay or Exeter 3 or 4 times a month. It was more when Plymouth was available. Most of the time these flights are MUCH quicker than by train and certainly those I fly to/from don't require me to be there 90 minutes early.0 -

I believe Ryanair were told they can't advertise London to Paris or Brussels as 'quicker than the Eurostar' due to the travel time at each end.
It probably is quicker for me, as I live 10 minutes from Stansted, but not from the centre of the city, as St Pancras is.💙💛 💔0 -
