    Afternoon all,

Not posted for a bit,& missed news from over the weekend so hope you are all well,or feeling better if not.We had a hectic few days,Cartmel Races on Saturday for my birthday, failed on all our bets apart from my last one and got £13.50 :Dbut had a great time with friends. Our local food festival was on so went to that on Friday with my friend and saw a demo by Michael Caines, seems a nice man, then went again on Sunday with DH and met up with friends again. We were there till evening as Godsons band were playing. We needed a quiet day on Monday.

DGS is still away but looks to be having a good time judging from the photos, though his skin looks like its flared up in the heat.DGD here for tea :)

The contractors started arriving yesterday to start work on the collapsed road/culvert.Its a different company to the ones who did the emergency work after Boxing Day,so they have to take all the metal fences down and replace them with their own first.Lyla has already retreated under DS desk, she hates the bleeping reversing noise the trucks and diggers make, poor thing. The engineer in charge came to see us yesterday and answered some of our questions and told us who the site foreman is if we need him. They are hoping to finish by Christmas so fingers crossed. The engineer knows how we all feel as he had his cellar flooded 2 weeks ago at the same time as us (our 3rd watery episode in 9 months :( ),he's a lovely chap.

LW,at least you know you will always be welcome on this thread:). I certainly feel a persons beliefs are nowt to do with anyone else :)

Right better carry on with the job I started, tidying cupboards, theres stuff all over the place now :D piles for the CS,and a friends carboot.
    Take care everyone x
