League Tables Customer Satisfaction

HI there,
I wondered whether it would be worthwhile having a pages/section/forum dedicated to providing league tables on different products? There is so much feedback on many different products that it is sometimes a little bewildering when trying to search for a recommended item to purchase, and a league table may provide a quick reference for potential purchasers of different products/items/services. And assuming everyone is fair in their judgement and not employed by companies selling the products/services then an honest representative customer satisfaction could be calculated as a mean/average and displayed for all to see....
This may prompt retailers and manufacturers to provide better quality products and services... or is this all just wishful thinking?
Cheers
Andy
