Hi All
Looking for some help.... I have tried claiming compensation for a severely delayed flight with West Jet but am advised that as they do not have UK offices they simply do not respond or pay out
Has anyone had a similar experience? Any advice?

In Canada the newspapers are reporting their concerns at the cost of refunds for Westjet as they bought 4 clapped out 767's ( they didn't know they were in such a state) which have had huge problems which I think have just about been resolved, but Westjet admitted they were liable for 600 Euros for every passenger and that was worrying the Canadians. Have you tried contacting them, they have a free phone number in the UK 00-800-5381-5696 and I doubt you will be the first person to call and ask for help. Claims of course can only be made for the outward journey, as a non EU airline, EU261 doesn't apply on flights back to the UK0
