This is happening because the shares are thinly traded due to it being summer holidays, all the recent trades have been within the bid-offer spread of 10.60 to 10.80, hence there hasn't been any real movement in the share price."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

I'm surprised. You do know that it only provides exposure to European smaller companies specifically though?
I decided to combine this with JETI and BEE to provide a pseudo pan-European (almost ex-UK) Income stream. During the time I've held them EAT and JETI seem to have more or less fluctuated in tandem, as seems to be the case with a few regional large/small cap investment comparisons.'We don't need to be smarter than the rest; we need to be more disciplined than the rest.' - WB0 -
Held a number of these for getting on for ten years or so.
There have been many a fluctuation in share price over that time more often than not below purchase price.
However in them for the long term and the income. Currently a couple of percent low on capital but the upside is a nominal 6% income for getting on for the ten years so if reinvested instead would be showing a healthy profit towards 100%.
Not the greatest of potential gains compared to some ITs over that period but a steady income stream far outwaying cash (bar a few accounts) and some diversification too. Overall satisfactory as a part of a portfolio provided you can live with the fluctuations!!0 -

Yeah, I have these as exposure to EU smaller co's, in my general investment account. I'm going to add more as it seems to be a very solid fund and the divi's are nice0 -
I see European Assets Trust is on a discount -6.25% on drip. I have had this trust on my list for my income IT's to cover Europe, maybe a good time to buy to get an entry for this trust, any thoughts?0

I've been a long-term holder myself, I would buy more if I were in different circumstances (currently saving for a house deposit).

Where are you obtaining the discount from? HL is only estimated not actual.
I've found them considerably out in the past so no longer rely on their accuracy.0
