Went off to the toy fair today, a small local one near us. I didn't buy anything for myself but my OH got some bargains and I paid £10 toward two cars. We ended up in the local pub for a drink + meal. Don't feel up to eat anything else tonight :(

I did end up eating again yesterday but only a wrap and some ice cream. Went to the beach in the afternoon before watching the F1 (boring) then NASCAR (much more exciting).

Today I am just waiting my uni results, even though I know I have failed already.

What is best to have loan, credit card or overdraft? Does it just depend on the APR?

None are ideal obviously but 0% credit card or overdraft are preferred. At a pinch a low interest loan. All your debts are on very high interest rates.

So I have decided to stop investing in the fund where I already have 100 units. This will free up £50 that I can then pay into the Avant loan.

Definitely no point in investing or saving when you are paying debts at almost 50% interest!!! Cancelling that and directing towards loan is sensible. Is your credit rating so bad you cannot get a lower rate on a credit card or personal loan? I normally would not suggest consolidation but those rates really are atrocious.

Yes my credit history is probably as low as it can get without getting more defaults. Even Capital One & Aqua wouldn't increase my limit (cap 1 in over 5 years!) I have a high street bank credit card as well as loan so it must be improving.

When do late payments stop being an issue? I would like to get one of my credit cards (preferably lloyds) to increase enough next year to be able to payoff a loan at a lower APR.

Don't think I can overpay my credit union loan but maybe I can with the Natwest loan. Trying to get my monthly budget to be my wage plus OHs share of bills. That way any extra shifts can be thrown at the debt.

I have decided to use the STC money towards debt on 1st Jan each year and the £25 a month savings towards Christmas. I should have £300 by then :)

August budget comes to £2096. Income is £2007 so a short fall of £89 to find in the budget. My extra shift will mean I have +£33 which can be thrown at the debt.

Ah well got one of my module results and it's a fail, Not surprising as I didn't pass the OCAS to begin with. The other is pending, may others have this for various modules, but as I'm under investigation I'm expecting that to be a fail also.

I can't seem to get anything right.

Why do some parents feel it's ok for their kids to jump/run around a flat as if they live in a house without neighbours!!!!! Seriously they don't care, I can't get one day of peace!!!! It's not just the kid above us (at least she get told off) it's the ones next to them so we only share a corner of our living room with them, but it feels like they are above us.

So my 'pending' result could still be a pass, if not then a resit. If a resit I'd hope I'd get results in time to give them to Portsmouth uni.

Another option is to try to do the Open Uni nursing degree from next September (need to investigate maintenance funding) or give up on that idea all together and do a degree that I can get funding for (STEM) - Computing & IT/sports & fitness.

I've come to terms with the fact I will be getting a DMP next year. I just want it paid off ASAP.

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Been really trying with online surveys and after reaching £3.75 on Opinion Outpost in one day I'm getting screened out of them all.

Also applied to a few jobs in the past few days. Some will require a commute but I'm thinking that isn't too bad. Also looking at bank jobs.

Thinking of throwing any STC cash at the Natwest Loan each month then any extra money (above the £50 OP) to the Avant loan.

    Avant @ £92.11 a month - DFD June 2020
Aiming to pay £50-100 a month extra to this debt though I am confused about whatsthecost. I input the details of the loan and it says my DFD is September 2021 I'm not sure whats going on.

I also aim to pay £20 extra to the Natwest loan each month.
