Non EU Flight time change - help

I have just been emailed by travelUp, who I booked my flight with and they have advised that my flight times have change, meaning i am at a changeover airport for an additional 12 hours 15 minutes.
I am flying from manchester to jeddah, jeddah to mumbai. Its the jeddah to mumbai flight that has been pushed back.
I am flying with saudi arabia airlines, so as this technially isnt an EU flight or an EU airline, can I still claim back / amend / refund this?
I just need some clarification on where I stand before I contact them back.
Many thanks
Leanne

Also the additional 12 hours means a total stay over of 18 hours overnight.0

If you have a through ticket from MAN to Mumbai then the EU Reg applies because you are departing from an EU airport.
Have any of your flight numbers changed?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
there is some information in the conditions of carriage under 12.2
- sorry can't get link to paste...if you google "saudi arabia airlines conditions of carriage" you will find it
(although you are unfortunately going to have to deal with Travelup)
when are you due to travel?0 -
That's great news thanks. And yes my flight number has changed. What does that mean?
Thanks so much for your help.0 -
Thanks for that, i'l take a read. We aren't flying until December so I have time (I hope) to get this sorted. Its just really not ideal.0

have a look at the Saudi airlines website and see if you can find an alternative connection that works for you then call Travelup and ask them to request the change from the airline (although it does look like the MAN-JED-BOM has a 17hour+ stop.)
Alternative would be to request a refund and book elsewhere0
