PlusNet network upgrade/changes - performance

We have two households with PlusNet Internet/broadband. Recently I received some texts saying my order was complete and broadband was activated. I contacted PlusNet who mentioned this was an error resulting form a recent network upgrade (next generation or something like that, which was designed to bring improvements).

Has anyone had a similar experience or noticed changes in performance recently? I have had one site running slow and finally disconnecting and the other site, whilst it reports good performance on Ookla doesn't seem as responsive as it was (it seems laggy).

I've checked the WiFi for interference and this is not significant.

  • If you look at their Community Forum https://community.plus.net/ it's evident that there have been numerous problems after customers have been migrated to Plusnet's new network. Register and post there, someone will assist.
    I had similar problems after the "upgrade", intermittent disconnections, websites taking ages to load, reductions of download/upload speeds, but things seem to have normalised now.
