How about call back when they state they will? If there are delays, then extend the time to wait for a call. It isn't difficult..0 -

Maybe proof of posting would be useful just in case they "lose" it to back up when you put the paperwork in.
Of course the other way round the FOS seems to take a banks word for it if they say they posted somehting out.0 -

All the other banks are managing just fine, social media clearly shows this. Lloyds, for example are refunding within 7-10 days. Do some research before making gormless posts.

I have been waiting for Barclays since 23rd July, after submitting chargeback forms and after several phone calls still no sense out of anyone, the last person told me I had to go on the holiday first now I know there having a laugh, on the letter they sent the chargeback forms it says they will update us within 14 working days but haven't heard a thing. I have banked with Barclays for over 30 years and the first problem I have they are just totally ignoring us, disgusted with their service and yes will definatley change banks the least they could do is to keep us informed, I have now lodged a complaint with Barclays and next step financial omnidbudsman.0

Re: Barclays chargeback claim submitted 20th July.
I have now gone past the 7 week mark and no refund, no more information than when it was submitted. Told to call back in another couple of weeks!!

Which will make it 9 weeks. I wonder if they would be so tardy if it was initially submitted as a complaint. I think not.0 -
