Good Afternoon Diary,
It's been so long since I last updated here, a family issue has taken up much of my time and there have been a few big developments in my life. Luckily the family issue has calmed down and all is slowly going back to normal, albeit a new normal for me.
A much needed return to money saving and this wonderful board is long overdue! I found out earlier this year that I'm expecting a baby, due to December. A massive surprise and a much welcome one. Not long after I discovered I was pregnant, my employer announced there would be some redundancies in my department.
So while I wait the birth of our baby, I also wait to see if I'll be one of those made redundant - all changes will be complete by March 2018, a few months after my maternity leave starts. I have found it quite stressful yet morning sickness and tiredness has kept my mind busy.
I'm a real planner so I'm looking into different scenarios- to make sure we're in the best possible place, whatever happens with my job. I'm eternally grateful for a very supportive husband to be - he's looked after me so well during my pregnancy and is supportive of me staying at home with the baby if it comes to that.
Our lives are due to change, in big ways - I am nervous yet I'm a great believer in everything hapoens for a reason. Change is always both exciting and scary!
I'm on holiday for the next 2 weeks so will be busy catching up on everyone's diaries and re-vamping our budget for maternity leave and beyond.
Hope everyone is happy and healthy
