yeah so pretty much as the title says. the machine is running, and it's even spinning, but zero water is entering inside the machine. is this something i could fix myself and, if so, how?

Simple first thought. Is the supply turned on? You should have a blue pipe connected probably under your sink with an on/off lever on it. Make sure the lever is in line with the pipe not at right angles.0

yes the supply is turned on. I have checked for kinks in the hose, but there's no abnormal kinks. the washing machine is not even 2 months old, so it shouldn't really be malfunctioning already.0

If only 2 months old it should be under warranty? What make/model?For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0 -
As above post, contact the maker for repair under warranty first.
Sounds as though the fill pressure switch has possibly failed. If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you! :dance:0 -
...... or the inlet solenoid valve.0

The Machine would wait until the water level was correct as signalled by the level sensor. The machine must think that water level is correct in order to proceed with the wash cycle. If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you! :dance:0

hotpoint. it was bought from currys, but their customer service is lacklustre, was hoping to speak to someone maybe tomorrow though not sure if there will be anyone available as it's bank holiday. yeah it is under warranty, but disappointed it's already starting playing up.0 -

Firstly, your point of redress is with Currys, so don't let them fob you off with Hotpoint, who have a terrible reputation anyhow (https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/hotpointservice.co.uk)
Secondly, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you have a right to repair or replacement as it's 2 months old. If they fail to do this then you have a right to refund.
Lastly, if you can get a refund, spend a bit more and get a better brand - you might end up paying less in the long term. For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0
