Passport stamps

I went to Spain when I was 11 and I just checked my old passport and it didn't have a stamp in it. Does your passport get stamped when you leave the UK or when you arrive in a foreign country, does it stamped on return? I don't understand. Do the Cayman Islands stamp your passport?

We're probably saying the same thing. I'd just point out that Schengen countries do have Immigration (passport control) for flight/other arrivals from non-Schengen countries. I guess that's where any confusion above may have arisen.
