I have set it up and left it for a week and found it has leaked water inside
Do I have any rights to claim a refund please?

Take it back to Tesco and tell them it's not fit for purpose.
They'll refund you there and then.0 -

Not up to scratch – no problem…If you find that any of our products are faulty within 12 months from purchase, we guarantee you a full refund, repair or replacement.
However, what do you expect for £15? If you want a cheap but decent tent spend £40 on a Vango or similar.0 -
If you are asking whether you have recourse under s75 of the CCA then the answer is NO.
The tent did not cost more than £100.0 -
You could have recourse under Charge back potentialy if Tesco refused a refund but that is not needed. Under 6 months it is up to Tesco prove that no fault is there. Tesco are really good about things like this you should be fine.
The cost of proving that there is fault is rarely worth it for most retailers. Unless it is very expensive item you have.0 -
Most people just leave them at the festivals, bit of a hassle taking them down and lugging them back home for 15 quid.0

I found Aldi very good when I had a problem with a Cam corder I bought from them. Developed a fault after 4 months and I returned item to the store and they refunded money straight away.0

Isn't the question whether it was double skin or sngle? I thought single skin let a bit of water through in storms B not a good idea0

really good advice thanks
Yes single skin, ow dear then maybe it was disinged to leak a little0 -
The stitching needs to weather. Once its its been wet a few times the stitching swells and seals the holes.
For a £15 tent though you may need to add some seam sealer also.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Stuff like this even if it was £100 you shouldn't be doing S75 from the off anyway, the sale of goods act (and the replacement, which I forget the name of) coves items not fit for purpose - just take back to the shop and ask for a new one or refund, S75 is only needed if the shop refuses to play ball
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
