    Just two things

1:- if you rent 3 years thats three years more before you are mortgage free and you are living rent free.

2 :- can you point me to where i can get 4% with zero risk.

1: I was talking only about the interest of the mortgage (the wasted money) in the above calculation, you still need to pay the capital back to the bank. Nothing stops you to save up the same amount of "capital" while you renting.

2: Yes its very easy you just need to import a product and sell it. You don't need to spend more time with this than researching stocks.

Yeh, just the one hundred thousand pounds. But other than that, not much :D
Which you could now take and move into rented and have a hundred £k to play with and buy even more "stuff".

And when those 23 years are up by the way, you've got the rest of your lifetime to continue to pay someone elses mortgage for them, instead of having no rent again, ever.

    Homework? D minus.

Capital appreciation still does not change the fact that you don't have the slightest clue about the cost of renting vs the cost of ownership.

All you can repeat is 100K. Well let me tell you, that 100K is ALREADY GONE, due to the pound dropping 20%. Chick Norris just lost 20% on all of his houses.

Why are you all so happy?

This is what you and people like you don't understand I paid my mortgage off 7 years ago so I have had 7 years of living rent free, if I had delayed and rented for additional 5 years I would have had 2 years of living rent free, as to rent my house it would have cost me in excess of £17k a year that's a saving of £85k.

As for your point two it just shows what a lack of understanding you have..

Me too, but not individuals that act like prats, telling everyone else that they have got it wrong and that they don't understand, when it is bleeding obvious to everyone except them, that they haven't got a clue.

Lol you are again adjusting the truth to your needs...

Well considering that was biased to say the least is an understatement but basically you said rent was no more expensive than renting which for the purpose of this argument I will accept now show me renting is cheaper than living rent free.

Maybe because it is better than being miserable.

I have not lost 20% of anything, I am not planning any significant foreign currency purchases.
Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop

Of course it isnt. Are you deliberately dim or just clutching at any straw ti disguise your foolish decision ?

Lets take a real example proving that, one involving you.
Someone bought that "not worth £315k" house when you didnt.
That someone, Mr Owner, is now lets say, going to buy a £515k house.
They sell the £315k house for £415k, redeem their £315k mortgage and use the £100k as deposit. Yes, that £100k, the £100k you said "is ALREADY GONE". Strangely though it pops up in their solicitors bank account perfectly usable.

Frankly I find it hard to believe anyone can be as idiotic as this, or that I'm even bothering to reply to such stupidity, so I'm done with your foolishness.
