Have to say that i agree these collective switches are not always the best price .
Bear in mind, though, that some of them which might not seem cheap to you, in your region and on your consumption, could well be cheap to others, in different regions and with different consumptions.
Hi I'm with you too, surprised not to see a straightforward swop E.On to E.On MSE Option, I must say E.on has been so simple and relatively cheap over the the last 12 month's.
I have made the leap with the same company to E.ON Energy Fixed 2 Year v9 (2 years Frozen tariff ) .
No penalties to leave on dual fuels, and should be advised by E.ON on better deals.
That’s classy.
Enjoy your eight free luncheons at the Waterside Inn! :EasterBun
I bow to your wealth and thank you humbly for subsiding my own meagre E.ON tariff.
Seriously, though, I can see (what I think is) your logic in doing that if you’ve painted yourself into a corner with regard to the ending of your current fix.
You can remain, seamlessly, with E.ON for a short time while you wait to see what becomes available in the forthcoming round of autumn collective fixes (one of which E.ON will, hopefully, win) enabling you then to switch to a cheaper tariff (anywhere) without penalty.
And it’s a slightly cheaper option (well, in my region and on my household's consumption, anyway) than the alternative of simply letting your current fix expire and getting shifted on to E.ON’s Standard Variable tariff for the same period of time.
But remember that MSE’s comparison site will only display to you its own collective fixes: you’ll have to look further afield to find the collective fixes offered by other sites; and E.ON will not advise you of anyone's collective fixes.
I hope it works out for you and not too expensively. :money:0 -
Yeh Sosumi whatever you said, and slightly more on the tariffs but can leave at any time without penalties, with the guarantee of prices frozen (Not Pipes) for 2 Years. There are more questions than answers :shhh: :silenced:WARNING ! Glad you've found things relatively simple over the last 12 months MoneyMate. As you say, exit fees don't apply when moving from one E.ON tariff to another.
You're right, if you've signed up for Price Alerts, we'll email you about any new versions of the fixed tariff that might become available. Just be aware, though, Price Alerts don't apply to collective tariffs only to our own fixed deals. As collectives are one off standalone tariffs, no new versions will be issued. As a result, even if signed up to Price Alerts, we won't be in touch if we're involved with any of these.
Also, we're not allowed to promote, sell or market collectives in any way so they won't be on our website either. Best to keep an eye on the various organisations and third parties involved with collectives.
Hope this helps MoneyMate.

Good advice Sosumi. As above in reply to MoneyMate, if we're ever involved, we're not allowed to promote, sell, market or switch anyone to a collective tariff. A breach of these rules would put us in seriously hot water with the Regulator. As such, they won't be on our website either.
