    possibly not and possibly wont need them . these style house were often built without and whoever said the windows will hold them up are possibly right .the ties and headers keep them up . Take the 2 small upstairs out first and look down .if your mortars good will be ok .possibly :rotfl:

    Thank you. This makes me feel a lot better as wasnt sure who to believe lol.The house is 1950 built. So very old. Still waiting for the surveyor. Do they come after 14 days cooling off period, incase you change your mind or something :rotfl:

    things made in 1590s is old . I have stuff in the fridge from the 50s . use to live in a very similar looking house built after the war . Good solid houses

    Any company or person who tells you that a upvc window or door will carry any weight from brickwork is not working to fensa /certass or building regs and are liable for any remedial work should this in the future cause any structural damage and fensa for one would side with the customer
