Soda crystals - from supermarket or Wilko - about a pound.

Empty half the bag into the drum.

Wash empty on the hottest - 90 or 95 degrees.

    Do this every few months.

    As above.

I use soda crystals into the powder drawer and white vinegar into the softener drawer (after cleaning said drawers and the door seal thoroughly).

This doesn't need doing that often to be honest to stay on top of things.

When did you last clean your machine? Or at least clean/empty the filter?

Oh dear, never - I would have no idea how to.

Always leave the door open after a wash to let the drum and seals dry which helps prevent mould. Every few months I wash the tray and do a 90 degree wash (sometimes with soda crystal, or washing machine cleaner or vinegar). Never had a problem so far.

Similar with the dishwasher. Every few months do a hot wash on empty with dishwasher cleaner and dig out the filter to clean it of grease and fruit pips/seeds.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

another vote here for leaving the door open to dry the drum.

We run a hot wash with detergent or vinegar every now and then.. a shot as the machine can manage.

I have stopped using the detergent drawer as its one more thing to clean and found ours used to get quite scummy..so our detergent goes in the drum now.

If the door rubber has gone mouldy these can be replaced.. i paid a chap to come and swap the seal on my old machine but it didnt look too complicated so if your handy it might be a job you could do.
