Thank you for your time looking at that email.

I had expected them to keep it to themselves as most places would without permission to forward it.

I am still considering the breach of DPA, purely because I could have said anything in that email, names, addresses, the lot and she would have still sent it on. I think INTU need to have this marked down with their compliance as a risk, I don't want action taken but I would highlight the issue there.

So what I have taken from this is, I ignore their letters, but mark down dates received, that they will try all sorts to get us to pay, but they cannot as Scotland do not (thankfully) hold any stock in their "invoices". As long as we do not reveal who the driver was, they cannot do a thing.

Should I correspond with them at any point to advise them I am the keeper and as the keeper I will not disclose the driver identification, or do I let them waste their time?

Once again I appreciate every bit of advice I have been given on this forum regarding this.

    No contact.

Do you respond to emails from Nigerian Government officials offering to transfer a fortune to your bank account provided you send them £500 and your bank account details?

    Look no further!

To be fair I *did* respond to a Nigerian scammer once, but it was more for the comedy value and I got bored quickly, but point well made and taken on board.

Thank you so much for your time this evening, I now have knowledge of what to expect and what they can and cannot do.

Ugh, because of INTU forwarding my email to them UKPC now have an email address for me and the first initial and surname.

They have already started emailing me, advising that I am wrong (that blue badges must always be displayed as part of the EA2010) which actually wasn't my argument but they have twisted it how they want. They are requesting the name and address of the driver.

Should I email back to advise that I am the keeper and not providing them those details, I know you have said no correspondence but I just don't want them to harass me with emails.

@TD - You should ask them to book you into the penthouse suite, for which you will reimburse them on arrival. Ask them to send you a copy of the paid invoice, so you can confirm their bona fides. Tell them you have to be careful as, although you believe them to be genuine, you understand that there are one or two scams coming out of Nigeria.

If you haven't stumbled across this - have a read on how to hone your scambaiting skills.

It appears I have won, my complaining and copying in the general manager of INTU with regards to the data protection breach has resulted in instant cancellation of the "ticket" and I should hear no more from them.

I don't doubt for a second that they will still come calling but at least I have evidence that I have been told it was cancelled. Not that they could have done anything anyway from the good advice I was thankfully given here but its good to know that if they stick to their word I should hear nothing more.

It was Braehead Shopping Centre, Glasgow, now run by INTU.

I initially contacted their customer service team through their website who advised me that UKPC were the parking "experts" and very fair and I needed to appeal to them directly.

I found the GM for INTU Braehead on LinkedIn, his email address is not visible but its not hard to work out its first name . second name @ intu.co.uk. I have little doubt that it was due to him being copied in that actually got them to take me seriously.

I wish I had tracked him down in the first instance, might have saved me some email time.
