  • Hi CP2016... yes received the letters from Link at the weekend and all looks pretty much straight forward thank goodness!!! I am like you, never want to see another credit card or loan or bloody catalogue again... so pleased I am sorting this mess out ☺
  • Can't login in on the Barclaycard account so they all must be with Link now... keep checking the post for the last letter dropping through!!! Havn't been on here for a bit but still plodding away.... xmas was lovely this year, lots of presents for my little one all bought by me saving and not one on credit - the feeling was fabulous!! Even managed to afford to go to the dentist yesterday ☺... pay day Monday and desperately waiting for it... January has to be the longest month ever xxx
  • Feel things are going well and then the anxiety kicks in again.... in particular when I see other people are experiencing collection agents visiting them... Its only a few months since I started so still early days and I know I am being irrational but living with the dread is awful
  • Wow another month has passed - how did that happen?!?! Decorated our little boys room and ours last week and his birthday is next week so busy busy busy!! Feels good knowing those 2 things are paid for outright and made me focus on what to get that we needed - not that we wanted!! Xx

Can't believe I haven't kept my diary up to date for so long!! Everything still coasting along at the moment... although have 2 big bills to pay out this week when I get paid but all budgeted for which is good and shows I am learning from past mistakes! X

Hi, I really admire how you are sorting yourself out, I'm just beginning the process (after hiding the landline phone in a drawer to stop the calls about overdue payments) I've got a question - I thought if I approched each lender and asked for help that would be the right thing to do so I rang the first one and they were helpful and said they were willing to take a lower monthly payment but that if a debt has interest that the interest cannot be lowered or frozen at all. So I worked out that if I paid any less than the minimum amount as they suggested - the debt would just get bigger and bigger. The next comapny I approached offered nothing even though I'm 2 payments behind and. So how did you get the interest stopped please?
  • Welcome back Tiggerlou x

wolf33, you need to post your question on the debtfree wannabe main board and someone will come along with the right answer :)
