Boiler Service Document

When I sold my house 6 months back the solicitors asked that I supply a document to confirm the boiler was safe. I tnik it only applies if the boiler was fitted after a certain date. In my case they would not exchange until I had provided it. I had lost it so had to apply to the gas register people. I don't know if its law or maybe just good practice.0

It sounds like they asked you to supply a Gas Safe certificate from when the boiler was installed. There is a requirement to confirm that a new boiler has been installed correctly, by a competent person, and the Gas Safe Register took over from CORGI about five years ago.0 -
Let me see if I can compile such a list for you now.Transatlantic wrote: »I see. Is there documentation I can read on this?
Things a seller does not need to supply:
1) boiler service documentation
2) electrical inspection report
3) roofing condition report
4) cleaner's contract and invoices
5) Original invoice for fitted carpets
6) list of keyholders
7) sworn declaration as to how many deceased's ashes (human or animal) are buried/scattered in the garden
8) bored now.0 -

No. Because you are asking for a documented list of all the documents that its not the solicitors duty to provide. Proving a negative in other words.0 -
