Looking at this as it seems you can get no-contract monthly unlimited broadband for £9.99. However I so far can't tell if you must take the phone line from Sky. It would be logical of it wasn't compulsory as landlines don't usually come with 1-month contracts.

The presentation of the webpage does suggest that you have to take Sky's line rental, but you could drop the tv and free broadband and keep the line only. (not what most people would want).

I notice that it says £17.99 line rental, so wonder if that is the proposed new Sky line charge (increase is usually about October/November).

Think I'll wait and see if Ofcom has grown a pair and finally gets the industry to abolish the misleading separate line rental charge before looking at switching.

If this was water, the deal we'd be looking at deals like 'water £2/month, pipe rental £17/month'.

Incidentally, there's currently a month's free movies & entertainment on NowTV.

The wording makes no difference to the price you pay.

People used to grumble about Sky fining them, on broadband fees, for not having their tv or line rental , but this was only Sky's odd way of removing a discount for having these items.
