im with virgin media at the moment and have cable tv, phone, and broadband
but i want to change the tv and go with sky and get a sky + box,
di need a bt line to get skys digital tv, or is it ok just to have an active line
i know thats according to skys t's + c's you have to have a telephone line connected to recieve pay per view and interactive services, can i use my virgin line
and does anyone know or had experience of sky contacting them if the telephone line from the digital box is removed, ive heard they do spot check to see if your line is still connected
thanks

Your Virgin phone line will be fine.
You are supposed to keep your box connected to a phone line for the first 12 months but Sky do not seem to check unless you have Multiroom.0 -
Could have swore I answered this already in a post not 2 days ago . Deja Vu ?

Your cable line is fine, it's only ever been a working landline, doesn't matter who the provider is.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

Sky do enforce the requirement for boxes to be connected to a phone line in the case of multiroom subscriptions, but not for single STBs. That's because multiroom offers a reduced subscription for the second and subsequent boxes so they want to ensure both (all) STBs are in the same location and have not been sold on or used elsewhere.baron777red wrote: »and does anyone know or had experience of sky contacting them if the telephone line from the digital box is removed, ive heard they do spot check to see if your line is still connectedTime has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
