Nationwide FlexPlus - worth it?

Hi you need to read the Policy summary for all the info - but the cover is Home start, roadside and onward travel. This is a section from the summary "If the breakdown occurs at least a 1/4 of a mile from your home address or the normal place of garaging and the vehicle cannot be repaired by the end of the working day, we’ll provide recovery to a destination of your choice anywhere in the UK".
I had to read all the policy just to make sure it matched what we already had previously before deciding that this was worth it.

It depends really on your circumstances. Myself and my wife were paying £10 each per month for UK phone insurance, so we were outlaying £20 per month. Flexplus joint account involved paying just £10 a month, and a part of the account was worldwide phone insurance, so it was a saving og £120 per year.
If you have disposable income, you'll get 2.4% interest after tax on up to £2500.
Also, another perk for us was, we travel a lot, so we saved money on the travel insurance too.Live for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0 -

As a joint account in particular if you want / need worldwide travel insurance, breakdown cover and mobile phone cover it is very good value at £120 per year even better if you can take advantage of the 3% interest to partly offset that fee
Considering that you can get 5% interest on the £2500 in another account then you shouldn't consider that the 3% interest is offsetting the £10 a month fee. So you are actually loosing money by getting less interest unless you have maxed out all other high interest paying accounts.0 -
Thanks for the replies - my feeling was that it was well worth it.
