Been out the dating game so long. Dunno where to start. I was lead to believe not to look to hard and you will just meet them by chance. Feel as though i will never find that special person. How did you find your soulmate?
I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.

Get on Plenty of Fish. Be honest and confident. Expect rejection. Enjoy dates.

Lots of threads on this. The best approach (IMO), make sure you are happy with yourself/being single first as this will make it a lot easier. Then its really up to you, local meetup groups are great for meeting people, then you have more dating specific sites such as match (tend to be better 'quality') POF (fine but a lot of strange people) and the more serious e-harmony, or completely the other way, tinder.
I don't think it has ever been easier to meet people, it really depends if you want the lots of dates approach, or meet people organically through group activities.0 -
I met my husband on a dating site. Try not to be too picky either. If you are looking to settle down you need someone honest and caring. Their hair colour and what shoes they wear shouldn't be important!0

I think it's important not to look to hard but then if you don't look at all and never approach anyone, it probably won't happen.
I agree with don't be to picky as well!0 -
I agree, be happy with yourself first and stop looking for the right person. That's how I met my now husband after thinking: I'm 26, STILL single (only a few dates till then as it just never felt right). But then I started just being happy in/by myself, had given up finding anyone. So when I met him at a party I was just my confident self and the rest is history.finally tea total but in still in (more) debt (Oct 25 CC £1800, loan £6453, mortgage £59,924/158,000)0

Met my husband on plenty of fish, he was only the second person I met up with on their after weeding out the weirdo's! To be honest I wasn't too sure about him at first (he was just shy and nervous) but I took the time to get to know him rather than just giving up and going on to the next person (like a lot of people do) and now I'm so happy I did.0
