Can anyone tell me if this company is a scam or not. I keep getting messages on my iPhone for a parking receipt for a car I don't have in a location 83161 I have no idea of. The number 65565 come up on google with the paybyphone.com with the above email address. Is it safe to contact them to let them know?
Has anyone else had this?

Had to pay few times by mobile, and receipt came back with clear council name etc
Looks dodgy, what to do?- ring PayPhonePlus
http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk or write to them as you questioned here0 -
I've used paybyphone a couple of times so they are genuine.
Location 83161 is Abbey Road in Brighton

I take it you've never been there or used your mobile to pay for parking?0 -
No I have never been there or pay by phone for any parking. Also the car reg that is displayed is not our car.
I am just concerned that if I contact them they will get a lot of info which I am worried about.0 -

I don't have a statement as I pay as you go. Does this mean they can take money from my phone to pay for the parking?0 -

What info are you worried they will get? Just contact them and say the mobile number linked to that car registration is incorrect. Their website says:I am receiving text message or emails about parking transactions that are not mine.
It is possible that an account holder registered an account using the wrong information. Please forward the message to uksupport@paybyphone.com and we can investigate and attempt to contact the account holder.0 -
Sorry, I have multiple SIM's and when I pay, I used contract onecarefullycautious wrote: »I don't have a statement as I pay as you go. Does this mean they can take money from my phone to pay for the parking?
May payments (3 times) where verified by txt, by getting a link to press on, to open a browser page- that paid and then I had receipt as txt.
(what sounds to be second stage in your case)0 -

I have sent the text from my email account explaining the above. I was worried if it was some sort of scam that they would have my mobile number and email address.
Have had an automated message back saying that they will resolve within 2 days.
Hope this resolves matters
Thanks for all your help0
