So instead of coming up with a workaround to solve your problem of getting to your place of work now that you're fit to return you post a thread on a public forum. Lots of suggestions of ways to overcome the problem have been made, most of which you've ignored.

Your previous posts imply that you don't enjoy your job..... and the fact that you resort to name calling when somebody responds in a way you don't like speaks volumes.

I did wish you good luck on your return to work - I know what it's like to return after being sick for some time and hope it works out for you. No need to call me an arrogant t*t but hope you got some pleasure out of it.
  • You seem to have got pleasure out of belittling me

Also I have not ignored peoples comments, just because I have not given a written narrative does not mean I have not put the wheels in motion

And I do not particularly enjoy my job at the moment, but I have been going thorough a rough time in my personal life (which you will know if you have read some of my previous posts, which it seems you have), but I am not here for that reason, so I'm not going to repeat it here

So the fact that I have not saved some money is irrelevant (my physio told me 3 months, but last time I when she said I had improved greatly so I could return to work in a few weeks), so until last week I thought I had more time to save than I did, but I am sure that does not matter to you

Thanks to all for the suggestions I am sure 1 of them will help

I also have a telephone interview tomorrow, for a customer services job, which is about the same distance from my home as my current job, but it is something I want to get into, and I can reclaim my travel expenses
  • I wish you luck with your interview and am sorry you've taken offence at my comments. I have no wish or desire to belittle you - I don't even know you for heavens sake! I found it very hard to go back to work after a period of sickness which followed two very difficult experiences in my own life, so I know that your get up and go and motivation to get back to work can "get up and go" and that if you don't particularly enjoy your job it's even harder - my confidence was at an all time low when I was about to return. As you did I took this as an opportunity to seek alternate employment and am happier than every. There were some really dark days when I was sick and I couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel but eventually one appeared - and it happened not to be a train coming the other way.

Finally, your return to work after a period of sickness such as yours should be fully supported by your Manager, your HR department and Occupational Health department if they've been involved. KFC is a global organisation who should support their staff and enable a phased return that will ease you back in both physically and mentally.

    Good luck in the future.
  • Ha Ha, you have obviously never worked in the fast food industry, I will not get any support to return to work, )if I come back, I come back, if not they will just fill my position with the next poor sap who has applied), its a vicious sector to work in (no way out unless you find another job, or commit a crime on shift)

I too am sorry, as I say I am not feeling my usual self currently

If you are on ESA, do you have an adviser at the jobcentre? Can they not help?

    Don't have an adviser

Contact the jobcentre and tell them what the issue is. They may be able to help depending on how long you have been on ESA.

Do you have your own place or live with family?

    Its 18 miles each way

That's £14 a week on the bus? Buses must be really cheap round your way.

£14 for a weekly ticket, or £4 for a day ticket, or £54 for 4 weeks
