My wife was a teacher in a big comprehensive for many years and I always found her colleagues to be a very friendly bunch. Perhaps, as it's currently school hols. time, you may not have met your fellow teachers but they could be a big help with such practical matters. Do you already have such contacts?0

eBay. Local paper. Autotrader. Post office window. Side of the road.
Use Autotrader for your research. You can specify price range and distance from your location (plus diesel/petrol, manual/auto and a lot of other things) and this will give you a good idea of what is available. That would give you more of an idea when you see things in the other places.Actually Halfords will sell you a pretty decent bike these days, although you'd may be better off setting it up yourself. If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0
