Newsagents dropping Hermes ??
Comments
-
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what sort of arrangement shops have with MyHermes? I've always wondered whether the shop makes money from it or whether it's just a way to get customers through the door.0

The newsagent here stopped a fortnight ago.
He had said for a while that (his words) being an agent for MyHermes was a "bl**dy pain".
I do note though that this loss of collection/dropoff points happened at the same time as MyHermes reorganised their pricing structure.
Which combined would perhaps suggest the company has ........ issues.
Though if -IF - it is part of some underhanded scheme to get people to use the Click & Collect @ Argos scheme it will NOT work with me.
Terrible service IMHO - & that of others too, from reading here.0 -
You what now? An underhand attempy by whom exactly?0

My coop says it gets paid per parcel - so I'd guess some of the independents may be spitting tacks.
If the hand scanner is a clue to survival, both independents I use should be fine. The shift to price by size is a bore though as I do a fair bit of over 16 cm deep shipping.0
