Exchange or refund??

You can ask them if you can return it to your local store if that is more convenient, but I certainly wouldn't be doing that without arranging it in advance.

It'll be far simpler online because you paid using Advantage points. Store staff are unlikely to be able to access your Boots.com account.

No problem. I will post an update once I have spoken with customer services, just in case anyone else has the same query in future

Just a quick update.


I called customer services at Boots.com they said anything ordered online can be returned via their stores. So last night I went direct to a store they exchanged the item and accepted the order confirmation as a receipt. they also gave me a new receipt so if item then developed the same fault after 6 month as this one did, I would be able to get another exchange or a refund to purchase a different item. Thank you all for your advice
