Internet radio - help with options please

Recently widowed, my grandfather has always loved his music, and really enjoyed hearing an oldies station called Angel Radio when it made a short appearance on Pop Up Radio on DAB. While Angel Radio now appears on some regional DAB line-ups, it doesn't appear in the area where he lives, and the only way we can get him access is by streaming it via our mobiles and dongles when we visit. We need to get him online!
We've found a Q2 branded internet radio, and we don't mind picking up other hardware for him. All we need now is to work out the best way to get him online. At the moment, there's no internet connection in my grandfather's house, and he's on BT's Basic tariff, which I don't think allows for broadband. We don't mind losing BT Basic at all.
Can anyone suggest a package which would work for streaming only? There will be no computer or tablet used in the house, other than when we visit. In terms of usage, he would be streaming radio for a few hours a day, and we would also like to use the connection to make Skype and Facetime calls to his great grandchildren when we visit with our laptops.

You may be better off with mobile broadband eg a mifi and data sim (maybe have a look at Three, Giffgaff and EE). Your grandfather would just need to keep it charged up as they're battery powered. You could keep a check on data usage online and top up when necessary (although a new sim is often cheaper). You'll also need to check signal coverage where he lives.0

BT Basic allows broadband from BT and other providers.
Just noticed this http://www.btplc.com/inclusion/ProductsAndServices/BTBasic/BTBasicBroadband/index.htm which may be right for you. Check length of contract, usage etc and compare with other broadband providers.0 -
When online, he may like Spotify's free service, as he can choose exactly what he listens to and when .0
