This is a common and well known scam op, a second scam they use is to add a penny to the price when you replace the nozzle so you've gone over.

They do it to thousands of people. It's a good little earner
And, of course, there's a six-year warranty on the petrol you buy. It's the law!

If its 'Pay at Pump' you can fill up, hang up, then take nozzle off again and open it up to drain the hose into your tank at no extra cost. Maybe the person before did that?

Are the laws of physics somehow suspended to enable you to do this?

Remind me. Are the people behind this the Jews, the Freemasons, or the Bilderberg Group?

I can see the logic, tbh - there's no pumping going on after the PaP switches off, so no pressure in the hose. Open the valve in the handle, and what's in the hose may dribble through.

I doubt there's much, though, and I'd expect it would be replaced in the hose by the pump priming while it resets.
  • Was wondering how I managed to get almost 51 litres into a Polo yesterday when the handbook clearly shows a 45 litre capacity?

The pipes and fuel system hold fuel as does the pipe from the tank to the filler cap. Also quite often there can be different tanks used in different markets but the handbook may not represent this.

Bit like how this guy managed to get 18+ litres into an 18 litre motorbike tank = scam.
