"storage space running out"
Samsung J5.
Hi, have posted before on this, but problem re-occurs.
I installed AppMgrIII, was directed to transfer lots of things to the SD card (7.24GB, with 6.98 fee). Have deleted a few 'unused' apps, but I still get this message.
Only466MB of space is free on card.
Is the idea to get lots of stuff onto the SD card and free up space on phone ?
How ?
What to transfer. ?
I have a bunch of photos (60) on 'Gallery'. Is this the/a problem ?
Various apps on phone, but not 'excessive' I don't think.
A bigger SD would not seem to cure the problem as there is loads of space on current one.
Any help please

Put the SD in a pc and test that it's really 8 gig (if it's really 8 gig then that's what the phone should report), also check that there aren't other things on there that you can delete.0

Is it formatted correctly?0

How would i know/do it? Phone or card?0

The card. It may need to be formatted.
There are a number of SD card tools on the Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a1dev.sdbench&hl=en). That can format the card and also test it to make sure it's the size it claims to be.
Did you get it from a store or from the likes of Ebay? A size of 466 mb could be a 512 mb card that's been hacked to report a different size (ie 8 gig).0 -
Ee shop. So should b ok?0

I'd have thought so. Just format and test it, there's a chance it could be faulty. You could try rebooting the phone and see if it gives the same reading for free space.0
