Droskyn car park is not relevant land under POFA 2012 so there is no keeper liability, providing you haven't already revealed the driver.

Email the Parish Council about this matter too (they are the landowners): perranzabuloe@btconnect.com
Sorry, can you explain "not relevant land" to me ??

Land to which the POFA legislation does not apply. POFA mainly only applies on private land ... adopted roads, council car parks are not private land, and airport and railway land is often covered by byelaws ... POFA does not apply in such places.

Thanks Pugger, needed that. I was clearly naive and hopeful! - stupid of me. I will be sending off the appeal for the 2nd ticket today. Intend to attach a photo of the ticket to prove I did indeed pay - surely that one stands a chance of being successful??!!

I am presuming from all the posts so far, the fine I 'owe' is not 'a lawful debt' ??

It's an invoice that the other party are claiming is unpaid ... it is not in any way a fine or penalty.

I am dealing with AS Parking and basically they are a bunch of shysters with no interest in anything other than getting money in. The sea front car park has one rubbish disabled bay, but they book a blue badge car after just 13 minutes overstay. I have contacted the landowners, Gardenscharities@yahoo.co.uk very pleasant, but no control over the vultures they employed. I'm not paying a penny, and if they want to go to court, will fight it. The two things that shines in correspondence are lack of empathy and greed. Perranporth is a beautiful place, struggling, and the last thing it needs is AS Parking. The sooner they Foxtrot Oscar the better it will be for the town.
