Flight booking cooling off period.

On 16th August I booked two return flights Online for travel in 2017 through Flysharp.com, total price £800. I just checked my itinerary and noticed I had accidentally clicked on the wrong month for the return flight
I phoned Flysharp who said the cost of changing the return flight is an additional £470.
I paid with a debit card and the T&C's make no mention of a cooling off period.
Is there any way I can cancel and get my money back (or part of it), or do I have to bite the bullet and pay the additional cost.
Many thank for any advice in advance.
Pete

The distance selling regulations do not apply to travel and flights, so there's no cooling off period.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

As above unfortunately there is no right at all to any changes or refunds. You have to rely on any goodwill of the company you used, whose online reputation generally does not seem overly good. Just looking at other threads here over the months suggest that these third party agents rarely ever do anything for a buyer that is outside their terms and conditions.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Presuming your ticket is actually changeable you'll pay Flysharp own admin charges, charges as per the fare rules of your ticket, plus any difference in cost.
You have no cooling off period and no right to cancel with a refund. The whole process would be so much easier (and quite likely cheaper) had you booked direct with the airline instead of involving a shonky OTA.0 -
Depends on the airline, I know British Airways allow you to cancel for no charge within 24 hours.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards.
