Gutted about your car.
The main thing is you have been able to get a new one & like you say it will be covered by OH wage increase so not so bad.
Those audio files do sound like hard work, especially if you are tired & struggling to concentrate.
I would be interested in information regarding that if you wouldn't mind sending it over to me.
I have such bad credit I don't get accepted for any 0% cards, so annoying cos I am paying interest on all of the CC's.

Thanks, ladies. xx I can't really complain about luck, what with the Vegas money, and the opportunities OH and I have had for increasing our income over the last month. It could have been worse!

Spent money today on lunch with my cousin, but I only see him 3 or 4 times a year. Only drank Diet Coke though, and we took my dogs for a walk afterwards = free activity. Lunch and drinks was £23, and £30 was paid into the main account from a mystery shopping company today, so £7 in profit, kind of.
OH also spent a bit of money on mystery shopping layout, but that will all come back manifold so not to worry there.
We had to settle up on the soon-to-be-scrapped Audi today. £110, but the garage knocked a couple of hours labour off it, which was very kind. Yesterday I paid £500 to remove the new car from sale, and we pay another £1500 on Saturday for the rest of the deposit. I can raise about £900 of that from savings, and the rest will have to go on a CC, hopefully at 0%.
The current account has £768.08 in it. OH wasn't paid today, but it's not always exact. It could be tomorrow or the first few days of next week.
More audio typing tonight as I have a long file due tomorrow, and one on Sunday.
I am steadfastly ignoring all the summer sale emails that are taunting me from my inbox. Karen Millen, Cult Beauty, L'Occitane, and co. - I say no to you and your beautiful things! I renounce thee! Even though I really, really want one of the new matte effect lip colours and the entire new 'Beauty Bakerie' collection. All deleted. The truth is that I have enough high-end make-up to sink a battleship. If I trawl through the collection I always find stuff I forgot I had, so I'm doing that later. I'm sure to find some new lip colours and various things, to make me feel like I'm using new products, without any spend!Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58

Sorry about your car.
Thank you x0 -
Read your thread the other day but didn't have time to comment. Well done, you sound like you're taking control despite life throwing obstacles at you.
So sorry about the car - we persevered with a dying car a while ago and it ended up being a fortune so this last time when it started to need a few trips to the garage we called it earlier and ended up with a lovely newer model, paying less on it and a long service plan included. So relieved.
Love that you're resisting the allure of the sales - I decided to go through everything that I had and realised that I could practically go shopping from myself. I don't have lots of different stuff but I do have lots of good stuff so I'm making myself use it. Odd how that should seem like a slightly difficult thing to do.
Hope the extra money continues to keep coming in.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

Thanks, Joey.
I know exactly what you mean. I need to have a good sort through all my clothes. I know for a fact that there are brand new dresses from good brands in there, that still have tags on! I need to decide what's to keep and what can be eBayed.
Speaking of eBay...I've been looking into what to do about the Audi. To scrap it seems such a shame, as it's a beautiful convertible which, apart from the engine problem, is in really good nick for its age. We had some work done on the retractable roof sensors, and also the window mechanism a few months ago, and it had two new rear tyres quite recently. It's actually a beautiful car and bordering on classic. The scrap value on it is next to nothing (about £50-£80). However, I've been checking out eBay and it seems there's quite a good market for cars for "spare and repair," for those restoring older models and looking for original parts that are in good condition. I won't have time this weekend, but on Monday I will get OH to help me with photos and the details for the listing, and I'll see how it goes with a starting price of £100.
OH was paid today so I've transferred about £715 to one of the other accounts, as that was the amount left over before his money went in. I do think I'll need to transfer at least some back, though, since when I get paid it will be minus two weeks' money, due to holidays.Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58

We were another one who had car issues with an Audi A8 and ended up scrapping for £150. Spares or repairs is a great idea." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hope everyone is having a good Bank Holiday! We were another one who had car issues with an Audi A8 and ended up scrapping for £150. Spares or repairs is a great idea.
Audi has angered me.
Vorsprung durch technik, my backside! OH is going to help me with the listing later.
We went to the dog show on Saturday, which was good to give the new car a decent run (it's amazing!!!
). Evil pup had quite a good day and was second in her class, which means she's qualified for Crufts 4 times out of 5 attempts since she started showing in May.
Friday night, I typed up a 45 minute audio file which was a dream, with clear, slow speakers. I did a 30 minute one yesterday which wasn't so good, but it's done now and a bit more money conjured up. Before bed, I noticed a load more work had become available so I picked up three files, about 85 minutes in total. I'm glad I did as it's all gone this morning. If I can turn these files around by the end of the month I'll have made £205 in August from audio typing, even though I only worked 2 weeks of the month. I've decided to set myself a target of £300 a month (full month) from the audio work, as this will cover the payments on the new car. It would be amazing if I could pay for it this way!
Working a bit in my main job today, with a few tasks to cross off my to do list. OH did some mystery shopping jobs at the end of last week where he had to buy some luxury beauty products. Those have gone into the cupboard to put aside as Christmas presents (I did give myself first refusal on them first!
) It's my mother's birthday this week so I have to post some stuff to her (she lives abroad), but I bought it in Las Vegas, so only the postage to pay for.
