Getting divorced and moving sky

Im in the process of getting divorced. Sky wont allow the current account to be moved from my name to my wifes name.
As such i have cancelled the account. But we have a 2TB HD+ box which cost £250. I have been told that if we wife sets up a new account she cant keep the content on the current box.
Im now thinking that i can move the account to my new property and retain the use of the sky 2TB box.
Can i do this?
Ive tried speaking to Sky but after being on hold for half an hour twice have given up.
Thanks
