Downgrading From Smartphone To Dumb Phone
Hello All,
Does anyone know of any ordinary (DUMB) phones with buttons which have a nano SIM? I've decided to downgrade my iphone 5 to a standard phone (have contract but has ended 2-3 months ago), but this is a pain as O2 only offer touchscreen phones?
Alternatively what if I buy a dumb handset outright & ask my provider (O2) to send me a standard SIM, is there a minimum network coverage requirement/spec needed for modern standard SIM's to work? I'm bit concerned (1st world problems) about buying an old handset (say pre 2010) & it not being compatible with the a modern standard SIM.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

There are many options out there.
Just buy any unlocked phone of something from o2,

Not sure what sim size you would need but o2 will probably send you a mini / micro / nano as you need. (Standard sim was full credit card size and probably no longer avaialble!)0 -
most of the SIM's are precut in all 3 sizes, there are separate adapters for the phones, that have SIM's in such way that pre-cut SIMs fall out
Amazon and eBay is full of dumbphones starting from £150 -
Surely, giving up iPhone is an upgrade, not a downgrade.

You can get these to convert you small sim back to a large sim.

Bloody stupid to have 3 different sim sizes.0

It's what you call progress.
At first they were the size of a credit card. I think you would be moaning if they were still that size!0 -
