Cheapest Way to Pickup Relative in Foreign Country?

Hi,

I'm trying to sort out the cheapest & most direct way to fly the following schedule if someone can help, please:

Southwest UK > Austin, Texas 14th Dec (1Adult, me)
Austin, Texas > Southwest UK 15th Dec (1 Adult, me +1 Relative age 9)
Southwest UK > Austin, Texas 28th Dec (1 Adult, me +1 Relative age 9)
Austin, Texas > Southwest UK 28th Dec (1 Adult, me)

So, basically I have to pick up a relative on 15th Dec, fly home to the UK for Christmas and drop them back in Austin on 28th Dec. Then fly home by myself.

Cheap and Direct are my two main goals.

The portion of travel WITH the relative needs to be as direct as possible as they can't handle layovers and connections.

I was thinking Austin > UK Direct; but that only takes us to London or Manchester and we still need to get to Exeter/Bristol (Exeter is better). Or Direct Austin > Dublin say and then Dublin > Exeter.....If we fly direct to London we still have to somehow get to London City Airport to fly down to Exeter so.... Ugh!

Does anyone have an genius way to pick up a relative overseas and return them again?

Is there not an option to fly them over as an unaccompanied minor?

I know that both BA and KLM offer this service. Since KLM have code-share flights to Exeter, they might be able to escort the child all the way there.

I think they only offer the UM service on their pure flights, not codeshares
