WIN10 extremely slow typing

I have upgraded my PC and daughter’s laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10 without any problems and incidentally find it to be excellent.
However on another laptop, whilst it upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10 the typing is so slow to make the computer useless. It can literally take up to 10 seconds from pressing a key on the keyboard to it appearing on the screen; press more than 3 keys and they don’t appear. This problem occurs in all applications, - entering passwords, internet, MS word etc.
I can’t revert to Win 7 and it upgrades to the latest version(it states) but the problem persists.
The internet is full of complaints about this problem, and I have spent hours going through some of the suggested solutions to no avail.
As this problem is so widespread, does anyone know if Microsoft intend bring out a fix?

I'd go straight for a reset (keeping data). This option removes programs, e.g. Office, so ensure you have any licences backed up. (and data just in case).
See "Reset your PC" at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12415/windows-10-recovery-options0 -
Or, make sure your backups are up-to-date and do a clean installation of Windows 10.
You can do this by downloading the ISO image and burning it to DVD, then booting from it. N.B. A clean installation will delete all your data, and everything on the hard drive (profiles, remembered passwords, etc.).0 -

Thanks - done this and it makes no difference. Keystrokes take several seconds to appear on laptop screen.
However!
Using Team Viewer my pal took control of the laptop and it all worked perfectly - no delays at all.
I then connected a desktop keyboard to the laptop's USB socket and again it all works perfectly - no delays.
Perusal of the internet shows loads of people have the same problem when converting to Win 10.
Any ideas for a solution please?0 -
Does it have a keyboard driver? If so, is the driver up-to-date?0
-
How much memory does the offending laptop have, and is it 64-bit or 32-bit Windows?
Keyboard driver does seem to be implicated, since TeamViewer remote controlling your laptop would not make any use of your own laptop's keyboard! I wouldn't necessarily believe Microsoft's statement that this is the best driver available, but I would hunt on the manufacturer's website for your model - or even serial number - and any relevant updates.0 -
I'd agree with John Gray, definitely sounds like keyboard driver to me. What computer is it? It's possible that it may have the best available driver but that the manufacturer hasn't released a version optimised for Win 10, in which case you might have to try to find a generic keyboard driver and hope that works better.0

The offending laptop is a Medion(an Aldi special) and 32 bit widows.
Task manager shows it is giving no cause for concern CPU around 20% and Memory around 50%.
I will investigate the keyboard driver issue tomorrow(again!!). I did get one of these commercial websites to scan for driver issues and it did say the driver was obsolete - but gave no options.0 -
I'd be fairly confident that an obsolete driver is going to be your issue. Try looking here to see if you can find an update.

I wouldnt put the problem down to the fact that you have upgraded rather than fresh installed as i have a brand new XPS machine that was bundled with W10 and plenty ram etc and i have that same problem occasionally.
The only think i can conclude is that as i am using a wireless keyboard and mouse, the issue must be driver related as mentioned above.
If you right click the keyboard from device manager and "update driver" , does it say you have the best one ?
If so then it may be worth looking on the manufacturers website for an update .0
