I have been through these , and nothing helped. I know the usbs work, one is new and I used it in my TV and my Mac. By the way, it felt rather hot when I removed it from my windows PC, so something must have been happening.
The other one is old and I have not used it for a while.0 -
Nothing at all shows up on devices and printers.
I've checked Device Manager, and usb is there, but I can't use this to put things on it or read things on it.0 -
Sounds like a Windows 10 upgrade issue. Probably solved with a clean install of Windows 10, but I'm sure that you won't want to do that.
It's odd that there is no Removable Drive indicated within Disk Management. Check again, looking for entries that approximate with the size of the drive.
If nothing else works, remove everything(that you can) currently connected via USB and then run USB Oblivion after placing a tick in Save Backup .reg file0 -
I have solved the problem.
I had been plugging the usb drives into the side of my monitor. These ports have always worked and I use them often.
I plugged the usbs into the front of my tower, and immediately they were recognised.
I think I may have some problem with the 2 ports on the side of my monitor now. I got the monitor at Christmas 2006, so it's served me a long time.
Time for a new one?0 -
You might need a specific monitor driver to get the USB ports on the monitor working - have a look on the monitor manufacturer's website. There probably isn't one for Windows 10, since it wasn't automatically installed, but you could try the Windows 7 driver if there is one.
Otherwise, provided the monitor works fine in other respects and you don't particularly need to extra USB ports, there's no reason to replace it, unless you just fancy a new monitor.0 -
Try taking out and plugging back in the USB cable connecting the monitor to the computer. It may just be a dodgy connection.I have solved the problem.

If they still don't work and you are happy with the monitor otherwise just plug USB sticks into the computer directly.0
