Toilet in utility room

Hi All,
New project, not underway, as yet, but I'm starting the (silly) Q's early!
I'm intending to put a utility room in the back end of the garage, which would be accessed from a door from kitchen, into the garage, then a door into the utility itself. There will be an external door from garden, into garage as well.
The room, 2.5mts x 3.5mts would have washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer, for dogfood, (if I get a dog, of course!) and couple cupboards and an inset kitchen style sink.
And this is where I'm getting negative comments, from others.... I intend to also install a toilet. But as it wont have a cubicle - just the main door - and no hand wash basin - just the main sink, some females, sorry lady moneysavers, are against the idea, saying they'd not use it as a toilet, without added privacy and a separate basin. It all fits ok, on my rough plans.
Am I being too blokeish, as the idea of a toilet so handy, for garage, or garden, with no need to get muddy boots off, or worry about going through the house, seemed like a good idea to me!
Comments all appreciated!

My neighbours have a toilet, basin and washing machine in their utility area, but it used to be a shower room where they took the shower out. I've been in it many times when I've looked after their cat and have no problem with it.
Where I would have the problem is with having a freezer in the same room as a toilet, and yes it needs a basin. Some of them are absolutely tiny but serve the purpose. You can also get a toilet with a basin built into the cistern.
Edit, just noticed you're planning a kitchen style sink. Since you can wash your hands there, I think your female objectors are being a bit OTT personally (I'm female).Make £2025 in 2025

I've put in a couple of utility rooms with loos in them and other friends have as well - I think it's an excellent use of space. As long as it has a lockable door, I can't see why it's any less private than a cubicle. I certainly don't think you need both a basin and a sink and can't see why wahing your hands in one is any better than another.
Some people are just weird.
(Oh, I'm female as well.)0 -
Are you planning on having the tumble drier at floor level? We have ours on top of the washing machine so the footprint is a lot less. Just saying in case this helps with your layout plans.Make £2025 in 2025

Tell them it'll be all right as you'll install a shower curtain round it.
I can see both sides of the argument. A loo is handy - but having it in a room where you can sit and feel fearful that one of the doors will open, can be disconcerting.
Maybe you need to give the layout another look ....
As a rule of thumb, men don't mind who sees their truncheon in their hand; women like to keep their foo foo private... especially if they've been caught short with a number 2.0 -

I was assuming that all the doors would be lockable.0 -
dont forget to put some ventilation in for the toilet
and just put locks on the door/s
just do your best, youll never please all women no matter what you do0 -

Fecal matter as an aerosol does spread everywhere through the house but levels will be higher in the room with the toilet.
It's your choice if you're happy with your clean washing and food from the freezer being put on contaminated surfaces.
Anyone who doesn't like the layout of the room or who might forget to lock both doors - can always go upstairs instead.0 -

It would be awful to put food on the surfaces, especially as most of our veg is grown in a mixture of poo, dead animals/plants and rock, wouldn't want to put anything dirty on it.
Unless you sterilise your hands they contain fecal matter all of the time.0 -
Indeed, how did we manage to survive this long as a species.0
