Just looked at their online "appeals" page. It requires my name and address. I guess they're going to get that anyway when they goto DVLA so should I go through their appeals process online ? (obviously as keeper)0

It is felt by a large number of people on this forum that the IAS second stage appeal is pointless as it is simply a kangaroo court.
It is entirely up to you. It will cost the parking company money if you appeal, but don't expect to win. If it got to court you could show the rejection to a judge to show how unfair and how biased towards the parking company this is. The rejection won't even have the name of the assessor on it.I married my cousin. The dilemma of whether to appeal to the IAS or not, and why you don't get a unanimous forum steer on this. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I've dealt with IAS before. The letter rejecting my appeal didn't cover half of the points id made and was factually incorrect so I probably wont bother. Very happy to have my day in court and to spend A LOT of time on my case. (i'm already logging time spent on it now and costs in view of going after costs when i win)0

Costs are fixed so all you need to do is show reasonable charges that achieve the maximum the court will pay out. Your time at 19 quid an hour, cost of 'phone calls, stationary, and postage.
Don't forget to include the car parking charge for attending court.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
Costs are normally fixed, but if you can show that the PPC have acted unreasonably, that the action was frivolous, and a waste of court time, you may be able to persuade the judge to award you more.
Like most things in life, it depends on how confident you are, and how well educated you are. Obviously, an GP would stand a better chance than someone on the sex offenders register. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
O.K here's one... If you are assumed to have entered into a contract with the parking company when you park in a private car park and as part of that contract you are obliged to buy a ticket and display it correctly on the dashboard. Is it not the also true that the Parking company are obliged to issue a valid ticket when the correct amount has been paid ? So , if you have paid the correct amount and displayed the ticket, is it not the parking company's breach if they have issued an invalid ticket to display ?0

Yep, probably, but they are pursuing you at the moment. You could in return pursue them. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
