Add to Barclays 2006/7 Tax Beater? Or Open new ISA?

Right... I'm getting myself in a fuddle & probably overthinking this... so can anyone clarify?
I opened an ISA in April this year - the Barclays tax beater for 2006/7 and managed to get £2400 in there before the cut off into 2007/8...
so, question 1 - can I put in the extra £600 from last years allowance now?
Question 2 - I also now have another £3k from a maturing regular saver to put into an ISA - should I put this into the Barclays ISA account I already have? i.e. will it get the tax beater rate I got for the 2006/7 money, but be my allowance for 2007/8? Or should I open another ISA account with the current top provider?

1. No, your allowance resets every year and never carries over.
2. I don't think the Barclays tax beater ISA is accepting new money any more. It would be worth calling them up and asking, but you may well need to just pick the best one for new money and go for it.I am a Chartered Financial Planner
